Transmission: Automatic
Color: Green
What is the stock push rod length on a 1971 302? I am rebuilding and need to know what push rods to install. I installed a hydraulic flat tappet cam and am using the stock heads.

According to several sources I have found, the length varies from 6.100 to 6.975. I think the correct length is around 6.875. Does a difference of 0.050 or less make a difference?

It depends on how much adjustment you have at your valves.
