this turned into a bitch fest fast.

and isn't it half way through 92 they changed to hyperpathetics? differant color oil pan gives it away?

This wouldn't have turned into a bitch fest if some jack ass didnt try to pass off irrelevant info as fact. I dunno about a diff colour oil pan, but towards the end of the 92 production run they went into hyperpathetic pistons. I'm not sure if any 92s came with those pistons but it was definitely in effect for all 93's.

another difference to take note of, is that a 92 is 1 year older than a 93, but 1 year newer than a 91. And amazingly this applies to all trim levels lx, gt, vert etc...

that is what i have heard on many occasions in the past, that half way through 92 stangs came with hyperpathetic pistons and either a black oil pan or a grey oil pan. just checking to see if it was correct.

I dont think theres any truth to that. All three of my 92's had black oil pans. On the other hand, I've had a 91 that had a beige coloured oil pan.
