The preference is usually an LX Coupe over a GT. The reasons being that the coupe is slightly stronger and lighter than the hatchback GT, which always equates into a faster car down the 1320. The LX hatchback is also lighter than the GT hatchback, but loses out on the rigidity versus it's coupe brother. The skirt package adds about another 80-90lbs, which really isn't that significant.

Were there any other big differences between the LX and GT besides being a hatch or a coupe and having the body kit? Mine doesn't have the side skirts or anything.

i agree the lx coupe is Great for dragracing but for just all out street and for looks i would go for a GT hatch anyday mainly because i own 2 of them a 1989 and a 1992 both black the first one (flat black) is the reaper the second (it was raining) is the banshee
