I think go carbon fiber if money is no object, you can still paint it afterwards. Rear quarters should only bolt on with a vert.

Regardless, you will need to make molds.

There was a guy on one of the mustang sites doing a carbon fiber project, major weight savings!

No quarter panels bolt on in a Mustang. They are pinch welded and seam sealed on the car. I highly discourage the use of fiberglass quarters, for the time and money it will cost to repro fiberglass quarters you can buy new sheetmetal and have it installed. The convertibles are so weak that I feel removing the sheetmetal would probably weaken the structure some more.
Again, I highly suggest replacing them with sheetmetal panels.

Kinda like what I said originally.

I figured it would be more money and time than it's worth, but I suppose if you have the time and money you COULd do it.

do the front fenders not bolt on? fiberglass hood and fenders would be cool, but I agree with stangseller about the structural stuff.

your best bet is to get aftermarket replacement 1/4 panels and do the job right and with fiberglass 1/4 panels will weaken the structure and twist and crack your work and all that down the drain .so get the steel aftermarket 1/4 panels from cross canada auto supply body replacement and no headakes and it will look good well job done ..just my opinion cause i got a vert and its all metal
