so ive been doing some research on the 70mm throttle body, so i toke my stock one off and was looking at it today, is the 70mm bored out completely pass the butterfly or does it stop by the lip before? was thinking about boring mine out to 70mm. so if someone can help me out it be great. thanks

You should have a 70 mm Egr spacer also,if you mount the 70mm to you old egr spacer it will need to be "ported"..I have a new polished 70mm spacer at my shop..

oh yeah for sure il lhave that done while im doing the throttle body, but would i have to be going right through with a new butterfly or stop by the lip before

Sorry I miss understood your post,you cannot port the stocker to 70 mm.I believe 64mm was max.The butterfly would have be be replaced.It would be better just to pick up a T body/spacer..

My old one was ported to 64 as well, i ended up just picking up a BBK one

Keep us posted on what you do. But you should be able to find a ported 64mm TB for $50 canadian.

allright thanks guys, well i was thinking about replacing the butterfly also because all this is costing me nothing so i might as well try and see how it comes out, so ill try and port it out to 70mm all the way trough, replace the butterfly, and do the spacer as well, ill let u guys know how it comes out thanks for the replies

got the spacer done to 70mm, and the tb inlet and outlet 70mm, centre 64 mm (max), gonna be making my butterfly tomorow, ill post pics hopefully tomorow when im done and let me know what u guys think.
