If you have the parts you just make it work.
Good call on the 502 Chris!
It always make sense to use what you already have. I mean the parts for a Windsor are interchangble with a 302 ei waterpump, oil pan etc....

If you spend all your time looking at obscure and difficult swaps and trying to get it done, you'll probably never get rid of that 4 cyl auto. If you wanted a 5L it would probably be done by now.

I am simply trying to offer reasonable advice. Some people spend too much time trying to be different and less time doing things right.

Well ,it doesn't really help that a 78 Tbird weighs in at around half a billion Lbs.

Yea but, what I'm saying is that if no-one did anything different, we'd all be riding horses or Chevy Sprints (almost the same thing)

I don't have enough fingers and toes to count how many foxes with 351W's and 302s I've seen, but I've yet to see a 351C in a fox. When was the last time you saw a 460 in a 94-98 stang? Wouldn't that be cool?

Just cause the 5.0L is already in a mustang doesn't mean it has to stay there....like it's mandatory that you build that motor and only that motor otherwise the mustang gods will strike you down.

I like that article in Modified Mustangs(I think) where buddy dropped a 4.6 out of a Cobra in his 83 Hatch. Lots of work but it's one of a kind. Isn't that what hot rodding is about?

While there is more aftermarket pieces that fit the fox body, a 351w block with CHI (cleveland) heads won three of the top four spots in the PHR Engine Master competition. If you can get the parts to make it fit, it would be not only different but very powerful.

Wonder how much work that'd be?
