so, as you know, the 91 LX I bought is going to be sold and I"m now looking for another stang.....I found a 95....dunno whether it's v6 or not cause buddy didn't post enough info, but if it is, I'd like to do a 5.0L or 4.6 swap....anybody done that or know of someone who has?

If it has a v6 do a supercoupe (94-95) conversion. You need a engine/trans harness for what ever set up you do.I would recomend you buy a 5.0 from the start it will save you time and money...

I thought Supercoupe's had supercharged 3.8's in them?

I don't want a v6 I want an 8 but I don't really have the time or the place to do a great big overhaul...I was hoping to get lucky and the 5.0 and trans would just drop in the v6 mounts then I'd simply have to change the CPU and harness....but I guess not.

Installing a 5.0 is pretty easy, but your best bet would be to find a complete running 87-93 Mustang thats rotted with a complete drivetrain. The most difficult part is wiring it up, there's a little bit of creative wiring if you intend on keeping the 94-95 gauges working. Your best bet would be to find a computer and wiring harness from a 94-95 though, a few modifications to it will make the car run well and keep everything operational. Otherwise, the mechanical stuff is pretty straightforward and it all just slides out and slips back in. A little bit of custom exhaust work will be needed as well. Its been a while, but I dont remember what we did about the front timing cover and water pump as the 94-95s had a shorter water pump and different timing cover due to the electric fan. Hope this helps.
