Anyone aware of a Ford Technical Service Bulletin on plastic intake manifolds leaking coolant on 4.6 litre 2V V-8's? If so what years does it cover? I've got a 2000 GT that appears to have this problem. Any help, particularly TSB number, would be appreciated.

TSB #00183 -- CONCERNS WITH THE INTAKE MANIFOLD LEAKING OR WEEPING COOLANT FROM PASSENGER SIDE GASKET AT RIGHT REAR CORNER OF HEAD-TO-MANIFOLD JOINT. *JB (NHTSA ID #618588, SEPTEMBER 04 2000)

Not sure if this is your exact issue. Some place's I looked for TSB's on coolant leaks for car did not show up, Only minor electrical or seat belt TSB's

Your 2000 gt should have and updated manifold that included a aluminum coolant x over tube.....the 96-98 had more issues with coolant leakage because the coolant x over tube was plastic......There is a heater hose on the L/R of the intake they sometimes leak from....

Mine appears to have a solid plastic intake. The leakage doesn't appear to be very fast, just wets the top of the valley cover a bit. Mine was an early 2000, but don't know if that makes any difference. Thanks for the TSB info. No sense me going to the trouble or expense if Ford will take care of it, although service depts sometimes try to double dip.
