Hey guys, I have a 96 GT with about 100,000 miles on it. Recently I have noticed a rattling sound coming from the tranny area when I am accelerating. If I jump on the throttle it sounds terrible, but I feather it, you can't heard anything. Also, from start, when I realease the clutch, sometimes, it makes a very noticeable cracking sound, almost like something is sloppy and banging together when engaged. Anyway, I kind of figure I'm into clutch problems, but figured someone may have experienced this aswell!

Sounds like a bad throw out bearing,if left too long the throw out bearing retainer will become worn and require replacement.

Turns out that it was just the front U-Joint totally trashed!! Never would have thought a U-Joint would cause the noises that I was hearing, but, not complaining!!
