Most websites that I've visited never discuss the 2004 GT. I've looked in stores for a Chilton or Haynes book and never found anything on that year. They go up to 2003 and that's it. Even on this forum, Mystic_River (no offence) discusses up to the 2003 GT. Is this the year that nobody likes to discuss about? I know nothing about my car, except that it's the 40th anniversary, has a 4.6L (SOHC 3V per cylinder), 260hp @ 5600rpm, tranny is 4R70W, and it has duel exhaust. Is there anything I should keep an eye on?

I don't know:

What the gear ratio is?

The firing order?

Did Ford do anything special for this model?

Is it a limited editon or a special edition?

Does this car come with the sub frame connectors? That only special editon cars have (like the convertible)

What type of fuel injectors?

Can I put a supercharger on it?

Why is my intake manifold plastic?

What type of rims are on my car? (pic above)

exhaust(except that they're duel), etc...................................

If anyone here knows anything, and posts it here or directs me to another web-site, would be gratefully appreciated.

I love this car and it is my second Ford (1st was a 95, 40th anny also, T-Bird, hehe 4.6L).

your car has 19pound injectors
327 gears, or 355's maybe because its an auto? 5 speeds have 327's
2 1/4 true dual exhaust
Bullit wheels
special anniversary badging I dont believe anything else but could be wrong
it has a plastic intake probobly to save weight
no subframe connectors
you can put a supercharger on it and go from 230 at the wheels to 370-380 at the wheels quite easily.
Its a wonderful car enjoy it...
also the car is a 2v not a 3 v they didnt come out until the s197's 05 up.

Theres no reason to not talk about '04s..... if people don't mention it dont worry or take it to heart, its identical to the 2003 model. I'm not sure about any special badges, but everything about your car is the same as the '03 model. You can definitely put a supercharger on it, thats actually one of the most common modifications for the '99-04 Mustang GT's. The first thing you should do to the car would be weld in sub frame connectors, then install a 2.5" catalytic-back exhaust, K+N airfilter, and some lowering springs. After that I'd upgrade the fuel pump to a 255lph intank unit by Walbro. I love white 99+ GT's...... personally, I enjoy them even more with the Mach 1 grille delete kit and Mach 1 chin spoiler!
