I know Fedon, I think I installed a clutch and trans in his car. I remember he was looking for a motor a while back. Tell him I STILL have the face plate from his stereo.
As for timing, its best to play with it. I've set some cars at 16* for optimum power with no detonation through even the hottest days. Most cars like about 13-14* BTDC though. Best place to start right after removing the silencer. I always get a nostalgic feeling when I remove a silencer, finding a "stock" Stang with one in place is very hard to do.
