I've seen lots of people, even friends of mine that have done what you just said.
I've had lots of seat time in cars and one truck
with enough power to get hurt real bad.....I'm not saying I'm a seasoned funny car driver, but I am very cautious driving anything with more than a few hundred hp. And a lot of people should learn from stupid people's mistakes and NOT go from a Honda to a Ferrari and expect it to perform the same.
